Experience Wagner's fantastic work about the fate of a cursed outsider, in a production by director and choreographer Christian Spuck. 'The Flying Dutchman' is Spuck's second cooperation with Music Director Donald Runnicles at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Wagner based this, his first opera, on the story of a mysterious mariner, who is doomed to travel the ocean between life and death until the love of a woman releases him. The opera occupies a world of dream images, obsessions, and projections divorced from reality.
Sung in German, with German and English surtitles.
