The Tallis Scholars, founded in 1973 by their director, Peter Phillips, have established themselves as one of the world’s leading specialist ensembles for sacred music of the renaissance through recordings and concert performances. Together with his singers, Peter Phillips developed the clear and pure sound which is considered essential for the renaissance repertoire, and which has made the a‐cappella ensemble from the United Kingdom famous far and wide. In celebration of their 50‐year anniversary, The Tallis Scholars return to Dresden, where they offer exquisite samples of their musical accomplishment.
