About the Event
Experience the enchanting melodies of chamber music performed by the Zoffany Ensemble, featuring compositions by renowned masters such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Franz Berwald. The highly‐anticipated concert will take place at Conway Hall, a cherished and globally recognized venue in London.
The Zoffany Ensemble showcases a captivating repertoire of chamber music, encompassing the works of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, as well as lesser‐known composers like Farrenc and Arensky. This performance promises to be a truly immersive musical journey, allowing audiences to appreciate the brilliance of these renowned compositions.
To conclude our remarkable autumn 2023 season, we eagerly welcome back the Zoffany Ensemble, presenting a vibrant program consisting of works for a large ensemble. The repertoire includes Mozart's early Divertimento and Beethoven's Septet, which, despite being one of his most popular works during his lifetime, frustrated him to the extent that he famously proclaimed, "That damn work! I wish it were burned!" However, this sentiment was not shared by Berwald, who drew inspiration from Beethoven's masterpiece and composed his own B‐flat septet, thereby completing the program on an exhilarating note.
Don't miss this extraordinary performance by the Zoffany Ensemble, combining the genius of Mozart, Beethoven, and Berwald, at London's treasured Conway Hall. Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of chamber music and revel in the magic of these timeless compositions.
