Sunday Concerts at Conway Hall: Zoffany Ensemble
About the Event
The Zoffany Ensemble returns to Conway Hall with a diverse selection of repertoire from the latter half of the nineteenth century. Adolphe Blanc’s Septet, composed in 1861 for the same instruments as Beethoven's Op.20, is surrounded by a colorful arrangement of Strauss's tone poem and a rare opportunity to hear Brahms' D major serenade in its original nonet version. It's a perfect start to our autumn 2024 season!
"This ensemble is truly exceptional," raved a member of the Conway Hall audience. "Their performance was outstanding, played with such beauty, expressiveness, and harmony. Each moment of the concert was pure joy, and I eagerly await their next performance."
Program:
- Richard Strauss | Arr. Franz Hasenöhrl: Till Eulenspiegel Op.28
