Summer Sounds at Schloss Grafenegg: Vienna Brass Connection
About the Event
Choosing between Bruckner and Brass is simply unimaginable. This is why the Vienna Brass Connection is commemorating Anton Bruckner's 200th birthday in such a grandiose manner. The members of this remarkable ensemble are not only accomplished musicians in world‐renowned orchestras in Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, and Cologne, but they also possess an intimate knowledge of Bruckner's symphonies. Despite being geographically scattered, they maintain a strong bond of friendship and a shared passion for music, which undeniably contributes to their success. Their latest program features a diverse selection of works by Bruckner, Richard Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, John Williams, Billy Joel, and others, encompassing the "whole spectrum of life," as they humorously describe it. From loud to quiet, cheerful to sad, high to low, and of course, Bruckner and more, their performances offer a rich and dynamic experience.
