Sainte‐Chapelle Concerts in Paris
Attending a concert at Sainte-Chapelle is one of the most magical musical experiences Paris has to offer. Built in the 13th century by King Louis IX to house the Crown of Thorns, this Gothic masterpiece on the Île de la Cité is home to over 100 classical music performances each year — making it one of the most sought-after concert venues in all of Paris.
The Upper Chapel, where concerts take place, features 15 towering stained-glass windows depicting more than 1,100 biblical scenes. As the sun sets, light filters through these extraordinary windows, creating an atmosphere unlike any concert hall in the world. Combined with superb acoustics, it is no wonder that Sainte-Chapelle attracts some of the finest musicians from across Europe.
