Slavic Classics in the Dresdner Zwinger Palace
Dresden, Dresdner Zwinger — Wallpavillon
About the Event
Enjoy Slavic masterpieces such as the famous 'Hungarian Dances', the 'Danube Wave Waltz' or the overture from the opera 'Ruslan and Lyudmila' — virtuosic and spirited arrangements for chamber orchestra and interpreted by the Dresdner Residenz Orchester in the sumptuous Zwinger Palace.
The concert hall in the Wall Pavilion is located on the upper level of the Dresden Zwinger opposite the Glockenspiel Pavilion. One path leads up from the inner courtyard of the Zwinger via curved steps. The second path leads from Theaterplatz over a small rampart — located to the right of the Alte Meister restaurant / Theaterplatz 1a and opposite the left side of the Semperoper Dresden — to the upper level. This access is barrier‐free, but only as far as the auditorium. There are three sandstone steps to climb. On concert days, signs will guide you to us. Due to the historical construction, the toilets and the hall are unfortunately not barrier‐free but only accessible via steps.
