Works from the classical and romantic era form the core of this exceptional evening at the Palais im Großen Garten. Sergei Nakariakov, a native of Gorky, today’s Nizhny Novgorod, may be the most virtuoso classical trumpet player in the world today. His second instrument, the flugelhorn, which he has mastered to equal brilliance, brings another musical nuance to the concert hall. He performs with the pianist Maria Meerovitch, another native of Russia and winner of prestigious awards and a sought‐after soloist and chamber musician in European musical metropolises.
