Journey through History with a program of songs about the life of King Saint Louis at the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris.
Displaying the broad spectrum of musical forms of the thirteenth century, this concert illustrates aspects and events in the life of Saint Louis. Plainchant, polyphony, and accompanied trouvères and troubadours songs alternate, offering insight into the richly contrasting musical universe that existed during the life of Saint Louis.
