Recorder Recital: Lucie Horsch at Schloss Wackerbarth Radebeul

About the Event

»The Dutch soloist Lucie Horsch coaxes notes from her instrument which one would not have expected from the recorder,« the magazine »Concerti« wrote about the young musician who gave her first large performance for thousands of listeners ate the age of nine, and has become one of the world’s most successful recorder players ever since. In 2020 the artist received the renowned Dutch Music Award, the highest honour bestowed by the Ministry of Culture of the Netherlands. Lucie Horsch is equally at home in the baroque era, in Astor Piazzolla’s tango and Irish traditionals. At her Dresden Music Festival concert, for which she is joined by the Dutch violinist Emmy Storms and the French guitarist Raphaël Feuillâtre, these musical worlds merge in a fascinating mélange.

Works by Béla Bartók, Claude Debussy, Jacob van Eyck, Manuel de Falla, Gottfried Finger, Astor Piazzolla, Jean‐Philippe Rameau, Igor Stravinsky, Thomas Tollett as well as traditional music from Ireland, Serbia and Venezuela
