Piazza Navona: Music in Bernini's Rome
About the Event
Art and music come together in the concert series, 'Music in Bernini's Rome', at Sant’Agnese in Agone Church in Rome.
Musicians performing with historical Baroque instruments present works by the greatest composers of Bernini's time: Girolamo Frescobaldi, Claudio Monteverdi, Giulio Caccini, and more. Bernini’s sculptures, the frescoed interior, and the church architecture itself enrich the concert experience.
Instrumental and vocal music join visual masterpieces, creating a unique impression of Baroque Rome.

* Entrance fee to the reserved Borromini’s Sacristy and main church
* Presentation in English language of the Roman Baroque art and architecture
* Introduction to the musical program
* Baroque music concert on original instruments

Marvellous! We have many happy memories of this evening. What a treat to be able to enjoy the church as a small group and hear about it's architecture and listen to some fabulous music beautifully played and sung. If we had been in Rome on other concert days we would have attended them. If we reurn to Rome we shall certainly look for another concert by this group.

由緒ある教会の中で演奏と芸術の話を聞かせていただくイベントでした。聴衆は30人ぐらいで日本人は我々だけでした。初めてのイタリア旅行の私たちにとって、こんな小規模な、でも質の高い、観光客向けでないイベントに参加できて大変良かったです。

Truly a wonderful experience to learn about Baroque music and a magnificent church. Only suggest an adjustment to the microphone worn by the interpretor as there was a bit of an echo. May be better without the mic since the accoustics are perfect.
