Piano Recital Emanuel Ax at Palais in the Great Garden, Dresden

About the Event

Emanuel Ax, an American pianist with Polish‐Jewish roots and a popular guest at the Dresden Music Festival, will perform Schubert Sonatas, including the famous one in B‐major D. 960, considered by his contemporaries »the crown of Schubert’s piano oeuvre, … the most beautiful sonata written since Beethoven«. Furthermore, he will play works by Liszt, whose piano works reveal a deeper connection with French thought and feelings, as reflected by the titles chosen for the works on this programme.
