Teatro dell'Opera di Roma
The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, nestled in the heart of Rome, is an iconic opera house that first opened its doors in 1880. Remarkably constructed in just 18 months, the inaugural show was Gioachino Rossini's Semiramide. This venue is celebrated for its superb acoustics, thanks to its design as a 'resonance chamber,' which ensures an optimal sensory experience during performances. The architect Sfondrini shaped the auditorium as a horseshoe, while Annibale Brugnoli enhanced the dome with exquisite frescoes. Accommodating an audience of 2,212, the main theater contains three levels of boxes, two galleries, and an amphitheatre, each designed to offer an unparalleled viewing experience.
