Anyone who loves jazzy and funky sounds is familiar with Nils Landgren. The trombone player, singer, composer and bandleader, also known as »Mr. Red Horn« due to his memorable red instrument, is one of the most influential and successful musicians on the European jazz scene. The hard‐working Swede has released more than thirty albums, all of them testament to his curiosity, joyful playing and stylistic versatility. Anyone who has experienced Landgren live knows his fascinating stage presence and infectious energy. A large portion of both will be on display at the matinee concert at the Semper Opera, for which the exceptional artist has assembled a cast of celebrated colleagues to join him: Wolfgang Haffner, Ida Sand, Viktoria Tolstoy and Joel Lyssarides.
