In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music by Tchaikovsky and Strauss at Barcelona's treasured and world‐renowned Palau de la Música Catalana.

One of the most charismatic, iconoclastic and revered conductors of the present day. Teodor Currentzis, the enfant terrible of orchestral conductors, returns to the Palau at the head of his ensemble musicAeterna.
An opportunity to hear Tchaikovsky's unusual Pathétique live, conducted by Teodor Currentzis. His album, released in 2011 on Legacy, is considered one of the best ever.
The program also includes Richard Strauss's sad and despairing work Metamorphosen. A commemorative work composed toward the end of World War II after the destruction of the National Theater in Munich, it was ultimately dedicated to all the bombed opera houses and culture destroyed by the war.
