A very good prechristmas concert at the Schloss Nymphenburg, featuring Vivaldi’s the Four Seasons by the Residenz Solisten featuring the young Italian violinist Paolo Tagliamento. The second Act featured works by Corelli, Schubert, and Haydn. The concert hall is a bit off the beaten path, so plan a post concert taxi or uber. It’s several blocks of the palace grounds to the nearest teams.

Un quartet de charme et plein d’humour (même si je n’an pas tout compris avec mon niveau d’allemand…) qui nous fait voyager dans l’univers des films avec maîtrise et originalité ! A voir !

We have visited many times, but this is the first time since leaving Munich. We were not disappointed. The performance was excellent, and the lead violinist outstanding. As usual, the Schloss provided an intimate setting for a great evening.

Outstanding. It would have been nice to have some English translations among the long speeches of the pianist. Sadly, I understood nothing. That will give me more inspiration to continue my German studies. The young bass will probably become a future super star. Wow!
