About the Event
The unique Mozart Dinner Concert offers a taste of life in Mozart's Salzburg, with its glorious music, colorful costumes, and culinary delights. In the candlelit Baroque Hall of the Stiftskeller St. Peter, musicians in historical costumes perform music from Mozart's most famous operas.
The two singers and five instrumentalists of the'Amadeus Consort Salzburg' offer a three‐part concert program of arias, duets, and overtures from Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, and The Magic Flute.
The Mozart Dinner is prepared according to traditional 17th and 18th century recipes and is served during the intermissions in the concert.
Traditional St. Peter's dark bread with local butter
Clear soup with the fine taste of lemons and rosemary‐curd cheese‐dumpling
Filled breast of roasted capaun (chicken) filled with curd cheese and herbs
on glaze of red wine with potato gratin and vegetables from Pater Priors's garden
Semi frozen parfait of honey with 2 fruit sauces
(Vegetarian dinner available upon request.)
