Michael Wollny Trio at Kulturpalast Dresden

A piano festival must include at least one exceptionally gifted jazz pianist, and Michael Wollny certainly qualifies, as the »Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung« writes: »It is only right to name Michael Wollny in the same breath as Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, Stefano Bollani and Paul Bley. He has everything one could ask of a perfect jazz pianist: virtuoso technique, exuberant imagination, discipline and the ability to engender creative chaos, sensuality and an instinct for aesthetics.« At the Kulturpalast, he will perform with his trio, in which the Frankfurt‐born drummer Eric Schaefer and the American bassist Tim Lefebvre guarantee perfect musical support for the master at the piano.
