Admire violinist Maxim Vengerov and pianist Roustem Saïtkoulov onstage at the Philharmonie de Paris in a program of sonatas by Brahms, Enescu and Franck.

The evening opens with Brahms' romantic and elegiac Third Sonata and Scherzo in C minor. The two musicians then perform Georges Enescu's Sonata, inspired by gypsy and Romanian folk music. The brilliant recital ends with a masterwork of the genre: Franck's Sonata for Violin and Piano in A major.
