Sony Classical will release Martin Stadtfeld's new program, 'Baroque Colours', in autumn. Stadtfeld, who gained fame with his recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations over 20 years ago, will showcase a curated selection of works from the German, Italian, and French Baroque periods at his concert in February. His aim is to cater to both younger audiences, who often consume music in short bursts on platforms like TikTok, as well as experienced music listeners. To achieve this, Stadtfeld has chosen emotionally resonant baroque pieces with immediate impact. Additionally, he has arranged some baroque compositions to distill their essence and present something fresh. The program intends to offer a vibrant array of small and diverse melodies for exploration.
