Flotow's 'Martha' was one of the most popular operas in the 19th century. Arias such as 'Letzte Rose, wie magst du so einsam hier erblühn' or 'Ach so fromm, ach so traut' have achieved international cult status. In addition, there is a delicious plot with high entertainment value. A great pleasure for connoisseurs and newcomers alike!
The Austrian ensemble Oper@ Tee is one of the most outstanding interpreters of opera comedies and operettas. It is important to them to implement the original ideas of the composers in order to come as close as possible to the original.

Storyline:
Bored Lady Harriet decides to disguise herself and, for fun, hires herself out as a maid for a day together with her chambermaid. Of course, such a joke cannot go well. The two tenants Plumkett and Lyonel immediately fall in love with the ladies, who call themselves 'Martha' and 'Julia', and cannot forget them after they escape from being maids. They meet again at a hunting party, and here the embarrassing hoax threatens to blow up.
