About the Event
Since its founding in Berlin in 2019, the Leonkoro Quartet has received almost all the awards available in the chamber music world: for example the First Prize, Audience Prize and Young Audience Prize at the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition in May 2022 and, one month earlier, the First Prize and nine of twelve Special Prizes at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition in London. Now the four young musicians perform a contrast‐rich programme ranging from Haydn and Mozart to Shostakovich, a chance to display their unique, much‐lauded stage presence for the Dresden Music Festival audience at Schloss Wackerbarth.
