L.&A. Jussen, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Haenchen: Mozart, Bruckner

About the Event

On the occasion of his 80th birthday, the Dresden Music Festival invites its former Intendant Hartmut Haenchen to the Kulturpalast with his Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, whose chief conductor he was from its founding until 2002. The Dutch brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen are among the world’s best piano duos, and they will be heard performing Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra K. 365. This is followed by Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony. The monumental work signified a major turning point for the composer, its triumphal reception in the concert halls establishing him in European musical life at an advanced age.
