Julia Fischer Plays Ysaÿe: Palais des Beaux‐Arts

Virtuoso violinist Julia Fischer plays the works of a composer who was one of the greatest violinists of his day, Eugène Ysaÿe, on the stage of the Palais des Beaux‐Arts in Brussels.

At 33 years‐old Julia Fischer has already been performing on the biggest international stages for almost 20 years. She is not afraid to take on the wonderful challenge posed by Eugène Ysaÿe's varied and highly challenging Six Sonatas for Violin. Each of the sonatas was dedicated to a young violinist and is supposed to reflect the style of the musician it was destined for.
