Horn Concertos: Mozart & Telemann in St. Germain des Prés
About the Event
In the 'Prestige du cor' concert, renowned maestro Paul Kuentz will be showcasing concertos for 1, 2, and 3 horns composed by Telemann, Wolfgang‐Amadeus Mozart, and Leopold Mozart. These concertos always highlight exceptional instrumentalists accompanying a brilliant soloist. One such outstanding soloist is Daniel Catalanotti who hails from a long line of professional musicians and conducts prestigious brass ensembles. Additionally, he is the founder of the esteemed 'Quatuor de cors de Paris.'
Adding to the allure of the concert, an exceptional performance of a concerto for the 'cor des Alpes' will be featured. This rare instrument, belonging to the same family as the horn, has been in existence since the 14th century.
