Hélène Grimaud at Festspielhaus Baden‐Baden
About the Event
Throughout her career, Hélène Grimaud has consistently chosen to focus on the German classics, often performing in Baden‐Baden. In her latest program, she emphasizes Brahms' final piano compositions. However, it is difficult to pinpoint a singular focal point, as all the works included hold great significance within the piano repertoire. By including Beethoven's late sonata in her program, Grimaud presents the composer as a Romantic figure, effectively introducing the era from which Brahms later bid a poignant farewell with his own melancholic piano pieces.
