Joining the Orquestra Simfònica Camera Musicae and Carlos Miguel Prieto on the stage of the Palau de la Musica's artisan‐crafted concert hall, Sáinz Villegas continues a tradition that has taken hold in a remarkably short time. The Concerto for guitar established Rodrigo's reputation as a leading composer of the 20th Century, and is the composer's most enduring work. Beethoven's light‐hearted Eighth Symphony completes the program.
