Grubinger, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Peltokoski: Kulturpalast Dresden
About the Event
After Martin Grubinger literally swept the audience off its feet during the past Festival season, the internationally celebrated multi‐percussionist returns to the Kulturpalast during his farewell tour in 2023. This time, he appears together with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the 22‐year‐old conductor Tarmo Peltokoski, widely considered a sensation and appointed the orchestra’s principal guest conductor in 2022. Their interaction promises to be fascinating: the musicians explore the full spectrum of percussion sound in works ranging from Tan Dun to Steve Reich. One last time, Grubinger will prove that his art has revolutionized the world of percussion forever.
