Great Berlin Christmas Concert: Anhalt Philharmonic Orchestra Dessau
Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin — Großer Saal
About the Event
The Dessau Orchestra is one of the oldest and most traditional orchestras in the state of Saxony‐Anhalt. For decades it has been shaping the Great Berlin Christmas Festival Concert, which has thus become a firm and beloved tradition. It is also a tradition that the orchestra always brings along a young soloist who has won several awards and who continues to be heard in subsequent years.
This year, the orchestra presents Fabian Müller, one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation. In the 2022/23 season, he made his debut with the Staatskapelle Berlin under the baton of Daniel Barenboim. He already caused quite a stir in 2017 at the International ARD Music Competition in Munich, where he received no less than five prizes, including the Audience Award.
