Step back into history and experience the grandeur of piano music at the beautiful Palazzo Corsini al Prato — Fondazione Mascarade Opera in Florence.

The young Italian pianist Giuseppe Guarrera has been invited by Daniel Barenboim to perform under his direction at the opening concert of the 2017‐2018 season in the Pierre Boulez Hall. He currently lives in Berlin, where he is part of the teaching staff of the Barenboim‐Said Academy. In recent years, Giuseppe Guarrera has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in some of Europe's most prestigious concert halls, including Wigmore Hall in London, the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, the Fondazione Scherzo in Madrid, the Cappelle Paoline del Quirinale in Rome, the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, the Verbier Festival Academy, the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Estivales musical in Medoc, the Auditorium Sony in Madrid and the Lingotto Giovani in Turin, Amici della Musica in Padua, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Bologna Festival, Settimane musicali of the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, L'Auditori in Barcelona, Musikverein in Vienna, Stockholm Konzerthuset, Concertgebow in Amsterdam, Köln Philarmonie, Mupa Center in Budapest, Andermatt Festival, Herkulessaal in Münich, Philarmonie in Luxemburg, Casa de Musica in Porto, Megaron in Athens, Festspielhaus in Baden‐Baden, etc. Solo highlights of his career include performances with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice. Before joining the Barenboim‐Said Academy under the direction of Nelson Goerner, Giuseppe studied in Italy with Siavush Gadjiev and Giuseppe Cultrera and in Berlin with Eldar Nebolsin.

Practical Information

The ticket gives you access to the Fondazione and Corsini gardens from 6pm, including the offer of a glass of good wine. The concert starts at 7pm
