About the Event

In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music at Bologna's atmospheric Chiostro della Basilica di Santo Stefano.

The two protagonists of this concert are children of the new millennium Giulia Rimonda and Josef Mossali. Giulia born in 2002, daughter of art, pupil of Nikolaj Znaider, Salvatore Accardo and Sonig Tchakerian, owner of an impeccable technique and a 'warm and powerful' sound Josef, just a year older than her, a pupil of Boris Petrushansky at the Imola Academy and winner of an impressive series of national competitions. Their program is the reflection of an attitude to challenge, but also to reasoning: in the center two 'classic' late romantic sonatas (Brahms and Grieg), framed by two rhapsodic pieces such as Dvořák's Romantic Pieces and Ravel's virtuosic Tzigane .

Program

  • Dvořák, Antonín – Four Romantic Pieces for violin and piano, op. 75
  • Brahms, Johannes – Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in A major, op. 100
  • Grieg, Edvard – Sonata No. 3 in C minor, Op. 45
  • Ravel, Maurice – Tzigane
