The current best 'Traviata' sings 'Tosca': a wonderful model for the Bulgarian soprano Sonya Yoncheva, who is celebrated worldwide for her wide range of roles. At her side in our concert Tosca performance: Italian tenor Riccardo Massi, who before his career as an operatic tenor appeared as a stuntman in films and series such as 'Gangs of New York,' 'Empire' and 'Rome.' The charismatic villain is sung by Uruguayan bass‐baritone Erwin Schrott — well known to Festspielhaus audiences as former Don Giovanni and Mephisto.
