About the Event

In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music by Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky and Anna Clyne at Berlin's treasured and world‐renowned Konzerthaus.

What power emanates from colours! The British composer Anna Clyne takes us into her 'Colour Field', we dive into the colours yellow, red and orange. And the Firebird also combines these powerful colours in its garb. A musical fairy tale of power, freedom, helpfulness, hope and victory over evil.

The concert unites people of all generations: together with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the young musicians of the Musikgymnasium C. P. E. Bach will perform. The musician Linda Fichtner, a former pupil of the Bach‐Gymnasium, will moderate. Berlin students artistically design the colourful and fairytale story.

Konzerthaus Berlin

The Konzerthaus Berlin is a concert hall situated on the Gendarmenmarkt, the most beautiful square in the city. Built in 1821, the structure initially served as a theater. Severely damaged in the Second World War, it was rebuilt as a concert hall in 1977, with a neoclassical interior, and changed its name to reflect its new function in 1994. Consistently numbered among the top five concert halls in the world, the Konzerthaus hosts around 500 performances every year, ranging from symphony and chamber concerts featuring international stars to new music and children's concerts.
