About the Event

Spirited and very lively, Daniel Schmahl (trumpet and corno da caccia) and the shooting star of the international organ scene Sebastian Heindl (organ) play masterpieces of the European Baroque, that magnificent epoch of the 17th century.
Glanz und Gloria' is a tribute to this golden age of the high trumpet and its little sister — the corno da caccia — sonorously and movingly completed by the organ, the queen of instruments.
The musicians approach the works with full sound and verve, including classics such as the famous Concerto in C for trumpet and organ by Tomaso Albinoni, works by J.S. Bach and other composers. In addition, the rarely performed Concerto by Georg Christoph Wagenseil for corno da caccia and organ will be performed. A concert programme entirely in the style of the legendary trumpeters Maurice André and Ludwig Güttler — traditional and very festive!
