An enchanting evening of choral music conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste unfolds, highlighted by the compositions of Arvo Pärt. Marking his 90th birthday in 2025, Pärt, who was born in 1935 in Paide, Estonia, is celebrated with a mesmerizing concert. His innovative style, known as tintinnabulation (derived from the Latin for 'little bells'), minimizes sonic elements to produce a uniquely serene and contemplative atmosphere. Taking center stage are experts in this sonic sphere, hailing from the composer's own Estonia: the distinguished, award‐winning Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir led by its founder Tõnu Kaljuste, and organist Kadri Toomoja.
