About the Event

Experience an unparalleled evening of piano classics at the Palais im Großen Garten in Dresden. Prepare to be captivated by the timeless masterpieces of Johann Sebastian Bach and the modern brilliance of Philip Lasser.

Anton Mejias, an exceptional Finnish‐Cuban pianist, was born in 2001 and has already established himself as a rising star in the international concert scene. Currently attending the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Mejias' talent has been recognized worldwide. With the second part of Bach's renowned 'Well‐Tempered Clavier,' he showcases his deep connection to the composer who has captivated him since childhood. Esteemed pianist and teacher Gary Graffman praises Mejias' interpretation, describing it as 'absolutely unique' and suggesting that he could be remembered as one of the greatest Bach players of our time.

In addition to exploring the works of the Baroque master, Mejias presents a world premiere of preludes by American composer Philip Lasser. By combining these extraordinary compositions, he opens up new and exhilarating sound horizons. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the artistry and passion of a truly exceptional young pianist.
