Tchaikovsky, whose setting of the tragic love story 'Romeo and Juliet' is one of the most important pieces of the Romantic period. Smetana's 'The Moldau' will be heard before the cheerful composition 'Aus Böhmens Hain und Flur'. The second part of the concert features Antonín Dvořák's 9th Symphony 'From the New World', composed in New York.
