About the Event
The Gran Teatre del Liceu presents Rossini's opera Otello in a concert performance. Rossini's interpretation puts aside the original plot by Shakespeare and sets the opera in Venice and reduces Jago's dramatic role in the play, while the role of Rodrigo is more prominent and includes challenging and outstanding music.
