About the Event
Piano concerts are dedicated to the eminent and most popular Polish composer — Fryderyk Chopin. His works are recognised all over the world and his name is among the most eminent composers of all time. Chopin's works are regarded as some of the most beautiful compositions for piano in the history of music.
In addition to a selection of Chopin's works, we will also hear the most interesting piano compositions by composers known and appreciated all over the world, such as Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Schumann and Rachmaninoff.
The uniqueness of our concerts lies primarily in the place where they are held, namely the Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene in Wrocław — a massive, Gothic church from the 13th century with excellent acoustics. The sound of the piano in such a space will provide the audience with incredible emotions, and the concert will remain in the memory for a long time.
This is the only opportunity in Wrocław to enjoy a piano concert in a church!

F. Chopin — Polonaise in A major, op. 40 no. 1,
S. Prokofiev — Sonata No. 3 op. 28,
F. Chopin — Nocturne in C sharp minor op. posth,
S. Rachmaninov — Etude in D minor op. 33 no. 4
F. Liszt — Petrarca sonnet no. 104
F. Chopin — Etude, op. 25, no. 5 in E minor,
R. Schumann — Papillons op. 2
F. Chopin — Etude, Op. 10 No. 12 in C minor (Revolutionary Etude)

Die Musik war ausgezeichnet, ausgewählt wurden die bekanntesten Klavierstücke, die auf hohem Niveau gespielt und interpretiert wurden. Leider wurde des Konzerts dauernd durch die laute Kirchentür und die Besucher gestört, da die Kirche während des Konzerts für das Publikum geöffnet war. Die Besucher des Konzerts waren in einer Ecke der großen Kirche gequetscht, da die Stühle sehr eng gestellt wurden . Von den hingestellt Kerzen brannten 20%. Den Chopin haben wir trotzdem sehr genossen, das ganze drum herum war sehr enttäuschend und nervig. Ein typisches Event für die Touris.

Der Pianist war hervorragend! Aber dass während des Konzertes für eine anstehende Hochzeit vorbereitet wurde finde ich NICHT akzeptabel. Dafür ist der Eintritt zu teuer.

The concert was outstanding! The pianist is so skilled and so personable , he really connected with the audience , the choice of music pieces by Chopin was stellar and his improvisation was impressive . We felt very lucky to be at the concert in this intimate setting of the church .

Der Pianistin sah man den Spass am spielen an. So übertrug der sich auch an uns . Lediglich die Bestuhlung war ein wenig eng gestellt.
