The KRYPTA, with its mere 80 seats, offers an up‐close opera theater experience. All works are performed with piano accompaniment based on the composers’ original piano scores, ensuring an authentic encounter with the original compositions.
The hall is comfortably heated year‐round.
Synopsis:
The penniless young peasant Nemorino is in love with the beautiful and wealthy Adina. But she rejects him. The Dottore Dulcamara sells him a love potion for his last bit of money, promising it will turn everything around for the better. But Adina turns the tables and agrees to marry the dashing Sergeant Belcore, who is courting her fiercely. Nemorino sees his hopes dashed. There is only one solution: more magic potion. Since he has no money left, he enlists as a soldier and uses his pay to buy more of the wonderful elixir. But in reality, it is nothing more than red wine.
When Adina realizes that Nemorino would even go to war for her sake, she buys him out of his contract. The gates of love are now wide open, and what belongs together finally comes together.
