“Gansch anders”? His huge fan base not only knows this, but also loves it, most recently in the Plugged In series in 2022: the unusual, extraordinary, and unpredictable is completely normal for Thomas Gansch. So it comes as no surprise that the trumpeter, composer, and arranger, who juggles between classical music and jazz, brass band tradition and avant‐garde, has been instrumental in the creation and stage life of various ensembles, including Mnozil Brass, Gansch & Roses, and Wieder, Gansch & Paul, that he has co‐developed several instruments tailored to his playing style, and that he also passes as a solo entertainer in all of this. So what does “Gansch anders” mean? More of the same? Or something completely new? Curiosity and excitement are mounting—and are further fueled by conductor, pianist, and organist Wayne Marshall, who has already achieved many successes with the sound artists.
