Experience Nanako Pohl in one of her rare concerts. With great expressiveness, technical brilliance, and a keen sense of musical nuance, she performs works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Johann Sebastian Bach.
The evening begins with Mozart’s luminous Fantasy in D minor, K. 397, followed by the cheerful Rondo in D major, K. 485, and the resonant Sonata in B‐flat major, K. 570. After the intermission, the program features selected pieces from Mendelssohn’s famous “Songs Without Words”—including the popular “Spring Song” and the heartfelt “Elegy.”
The concert concludes with Johann Sebastian Bach’s moving “Sheep May Safely Graze” from the Birthday Cantata—a musical moment full of warmth, peace, and hope.
