LHardly any other time of year touches us as deeply as Christmas. Memories of childhood and the anticipation of the holiday come to life in a unique way in this special concert.
Soprano Alice Waginger and pianist Hans‐Jörg Gaugelhofer invite you on a musical Christmas journey that combines the magic of Austrian Christmas traditions with the most beautiful international Christmas carols and timeless classics.
Rare gems such as “Liebes Christkinderl” and “Mariae Wiegenlied” bring the atmosphere of past Christmases back to life. International classics (“O Holy Night,” among others) create a festive mood, before timeless Christmas carols like “Silent Night” bring the evening to a contemplative close.
The historic crypt of St. Peter’s Church provides the ideal setting: far removed from the hustle and bustle of Advent, an intimate concert experience unfolds in a very special atmosphere. A musical Christmas gift!
