Ballet makes its grand return to the Arena di Verona. After a 34‐year wait, a new production of the most famous love story of all time is on its way. Romeo and Juliet lives again in “fair Verona”, from the verses of Shakespeare to the stage, with Prokofiev’s immortal music.

In fair Verona, the Montague and Capulet families are locked in conflict. Romeo Montague, pining for an unrequited love, attends a Capulet ball in disguise. There he meets Juliet, daughter of the Capulets: the two fall in love at first sight. Meanwhile, tensions between the two families escalate.
