About the Event
In the splendid setting of the Anglican Church of St. George in Venice, the MandolinVenice Ensemble offers a musical journey through the history of Italian classical music, from Vivaldi to Rossini, accompanied by the evocative sound of mandolins. The concert features original pieces for this ensemble and author’s transcriptions that trace an ideal path to discover some of the finest mandolin music ever written. The concert will be accompanied by brief but insightful introductions to the pieces, allowing the audience to better understand and appreciate the music, the composers, and the historical context of the works performed.
The concert starts at 8:30 PM and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. At the end, the audience is welcome to meet the musicians and share their impressions.
