About the Event
The Main Hall of Les Arts presents La Veronal’s “darkest and most introspective creation,” La mort i la primavera. Its choreographer and artistic director, internationally acclaimed Marcos Morau, imagines the piece as an unsettling fantasy of images, gestures and bodies, exploring the subconscious of Mercè Rodoreda’s most enigmatic and radically symphonic novel. Premiered to great acclaim at the 2025 Venice Biennale, the compelling production is “as sinister as one of Goya’s Black Paintings and as solemn as a requiem mass.” It marks another milestone in Morau’s career, following recent works including Sonoma, Opening Night and Afanador.
