About the Event

In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of Alessandro Scarlatti's passing, the ensemble Il Fervore presents a dedicated monographic program. They explore the early 18th‐century Neapolitan musical scene, where Scarlatti spent much of his life. The program includes exemplary works from diverse musical genres he engaged with, such as opera, concerto, and serenade. Basque soprano Jone Martínez shines in the notable arias from the opera Tiberio, imperatore d'Oriente, and delivers selections from the serenade Clori, Dorino e Amore. Under the direction of violinist Jesús Martínez, this young ensemble, established in 2021, focuses on historically informed performances of Baroque and pre‐Classical music.
