Georg Zeppenfeld, one of today’s most sought‐after basses, makes his Valencia debut, with Salzburg and Bayreuth among his principal stages. His name immediately evokes Wagner and Strauss. His portrayals of Marke, Gurnemanz, and Hans Sachs are essential references. A pupil of legendary bass Hans Sotin, he built his career at Dresden Opera, where he continues to perform each season. His voice, distinguished by power, technical security, and above all noble singing, makes him equally compelling in concert repertoire and Lied. Schubert and Brahms anchor his first appearance at Les Arts, accompanied by German pianist Gerold Huber.
