OCV — Javier Perianes — Integral Piano Beethoven
Valencia, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia — Auditori
About the Event
This season, in addition to Brahms' symphonies, Les Arts invites music enthusiasts to experience the complete Beethoven piano concertos. The esteemed pianist Javier Perianes joins the ranks of notable figures like Daniel Barenboim and Vladimir Ashkenazy, who have previously conducted this series from the piano. The project debuts at Madrid's Auditorio Nacional alongside the OCV, before moving on to Valencia and Castellón. Perianes' profoundly sensitive piano touch will narrate the journey from Beethoven's early concertos, which brim with Mozartian echoes, dynamic rhythm, and youthful drama, to the majestic splendor and solemnity of the Emperor concerto from the composer’s mature era, where dramatic tension and poetic expression are perfectly balanced.
