Discover the captivating realm of dance with NumEros Compañía Nacional de Danza at the renowned Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia.
NumEros, the latest venture of the National Dance Company, is a choreographic triptych honoring the brilliance of three dance maestros. The performance begins with Serenade, the first work conceived by the iconic George Balanchine for the American Ballet — which he established in 1935 in New York — drawing inspiration from Tchaikovsky's esteemed Serenade for Strings. Next is the world premiere of Echoes from a Restless Soul, choreographed to Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit by Italian artist Jacopo Godani. This piece unfolds as a series of pas de deux and quartets, harmonizing with Ravel's piano virtuosity. The triptych concludes with William Forsythe's Playlist (Track 1, 2), featuring a fusion of classical and contemporary dance that delivers a playlist inspired by neo‐soul and house music.
